The exhibition “Kachu Total. The Art of Kazimierz Ostrowski” is a multidimensional story of one of the most iconic figures of the 20th-century Tri-City art scene. Through colour and geometry, the artist captured the character and identity of a young port city.
We had the great pleasure of designing the exhibition’s spatial arrangement, creating an environment that moves beyond the conventions of a traditional exhibition in favour of a vibrant, sensory experience. The exhibition reflects the multidisciplinary nature of Kachu’s work, spanning paintings, textiles, murals and mosaics.
In designing the space, our aim was not only to showcase the artworks, but also to create an exhibition that engages all the senses. Drawing inspiration from the raw structures of shipyards, the rhythm of modernist architecture and the verticality of industrial halls, we broke up the solidity of the museum walls with suspended, openwork steel frames.
