SAINER. KOL∞R
The invitation to the project of arranging the exhibition „SAINER. KOL∞R” in the Abbots’ Palace appeared unexpectedly and at a time when there was a lot of work on other projects. However, you don’t say no to some artists, especially since the arrangement was to take place in an interior that, although difficult, always has a warm place in my heart. Przemek Blejzyk – Sainer’s works were characterized by incredible realism and expression, and they always drew attention, among many street art artists I know.
This knowledge became an important starting point for creating the concept of the arrangement of the exhibition space, which is based on the expression of color through the prism of the digital era, where each image is divided by pixels.
Each room has a selected leading color, which appears on the walls and in the frame of the labels for the images. Such details are very important when designing exhibition spaces, where the concept of its arrangement is to build the whole, while remaining transparent itself. Because, as the architect responsible for the project emphasizes, the arrangement of an art exhibition is to be an ideal background, to bring out what is important. However, it cannot compete in any way with the artist’s works. That is why the color used in the exhibition often reveals the existing relationship between the works or captures the elements into a certain whole. And although large color palettes appear here, their only task is to bring out or connect a given theme.
