The final space of the Permanent Exhibition at the Museum of the Second World War was designed as a place of calm and reflection. After an intense, emotionally charged journey through the exhibition, visitors can pause here for a moment – to distance themselves, breathe, and find stillness.
The interior is filled with soft light, bright fabrics, and gentle sounds. A light, cushioned carpet covers the floor, offering a sense of peace and relief after hours spent walking on concrete surfaces. The walls and ceiling are draped with translucent, tactile
The materials completely transform the acoustics of the room -sounds soften, and the space becomes intimate and soothing.
At its center stands an installation in the form of a dove – a universal symbol of peace. A delicate, openwork structure made of thin, light-colored rods is suspended beneath the ceiling grid, inviting visitors to attach their own handwritten reflections. In this way, the dove gradually emerges from the collective thoughts and emotions of those who have experienced the exhibition.
