Ohya

„Masaaki Ohya. Secrets of Nature”

The exhibition features seventy prints created over the last two decades, divided into four thematic cycles: Nature and the Life and Death of Humans, Animals, and Plants cycle. Dorota Terlecka from Biuro Kreacja, in collaboration with Eugenia Tynna, the graphic designer, is responsible for the exhibition space design. The goal was to create a space that would harmoniously resonate with the philosophical nature of Ohya’s works. The exhibition is a journey into the world of symbols, forms, and shapes that the artist discovers in the reality around him.

The minimalist forms and subdued colors of the exhibition emphasize the subtlety of the graphics, allowing viewers to deeply contemplate the works on display. Its airy and ephemeral nature is intended primarily to allow Masaaki Ohya’s works on display to resonate. They are not just a backdrop for the works, but an extension of them—a space where meanings gain a new dimension.

Each element of the exhibition was subordinated to the main goal – creating a space of concentration and contemplation. The choice of materials was also not accidental – the project was created in the spirit of ethical design. Local wood, natural cotton fabrics, paper, and assembly systems enabling the reuse of components were used.
